“I-If I may...” Junia said, taking the opportunity to step forwards and interject. “Miss Wyne has been a great help managing these magic beasts during her visits here... S-So that’s why... I, um, I feel terrible about relying on her, so, well...” she trailed off awkwardly, demurely bowing her head.

“You have nothing to worry about, I assure you,” said Flio, smiling back as calmly as ever. “Wyne loves flying around to every corner of the world on her outings, and I gather she’s especially fond of the Calgosi Coast. If she’s been a help to the people here while she’s out playing, it’s all the better as far as I’m concerned!”

Rolindeim and Polseidon had been watching from the sidelines as Flio and Junia carried on their conversation. Suddenly, Rolindeim shuffled up beside where Polseidon was standing and seized hold of his long white beard, mercilessly yanking his head to her level.

“Ow!” Polseidon exclaimed as the much smaller woman pulled him down to a kneeling posture. “Rolindeim! What do you think you’re doing?!”

“Hey...” Rolindeim whispered in Polseidon’s ear. “That little Miss Wyne’s supposedly flying all the way from Houghtow City to come and hang out, isn’t she?”

“Mh?” Polseidon replied. “Yes, that’s right.”

“But it takes a horse-drawn carriage just about a month to make the trip from Houghtow City to here...right?” Rolindeim asked.

“W-Well, yes...” Polseidon confirmed. “But can’t those new Enchanted Frigates of theirs travel the distance in half a day?”

“Sure!” Rolindeim conceded. “But Miss Wyne over there’ll show up at the crack of dawn on one of her morning flights, and head home when it’s time for breakfast!”

“Th-That’s true, I suppose...” said Polseidon.

“So that means...” Rolindeim continued. “That she’s gotta be even faster than an Enchanted Frigate! And not only that, but she’s treating that crazy long-distance flight like an early morning stroll...right?”

“W-Well, when you put it that way...”

“Think about it!” Rolindeim grinned. “If Miss Wyne and Loplanz ever get hitched or whatever, we’ll have the security of the entire region well in hand!”

“Oho!” said Polseidon, grinning as he realized what Rolindeim was getting at. “So that’s your brilliant pl—”

Before he could finish, however, the point of a long sword came quivering to a halt between their faces, its hilt clutched tight in Junia’s right hand.

“Gheeekh?!” they cried, flinching back.

“We can’t think that way...” said Junia, a slight pout on her youthful face as she slowly lowered her weapon. The blade retracted back to her hand, then traveled down her body where it wrapped itself around her waist. “I don’t want us to depend on outsiders for our protection...”

“Excuse me... Countess Van Biel?” Flio asked, surprised by the movement of Junia’s sword. “Was that a spell you used just now? I didn’t sense any magic power...”

“O-Oh...” said Junia. “I-It’s this Armory Dress I’m wearing, actually... a magic item that can transform into any sort of weapon... It’s powered by magic gems, so I don’t need to use my own magic power to activate it...”

“My!” interjected Rys, suddenly very interested in Junia’s outfit.
